Yay, I was able to get out part two of my art history series. Unfortunately, I tried to type out cosed captions and discovered I am unable to type out all the words in a timely and accurate manner. I tried to do it today and it took me over two hours of making mistakes and then finally ending it before I was done. To check it out here is My Art History ;Painting video here.
Thank you to those wanting closed captions. I wholeheartedly wish I could just click on a button and it would automatically transcribe the script. If anyone is interested in volunteering to transcribe the audio to create closed captions, please feel free to message or email us. Until then, I will continue trying to be mindful of using descriptive titles and/or text to help explain what's happening. And try to type out more in the accompanying vlogs. These days my energy levels are a cause for concern. Always happy just to get the videos completed at all.

As well, I was able to incorporate the hologlitter polymer clay beads as well as others! About 90% of these necklaces are comprised of beads I got to make.

Yesterday I shared my tutorial on creating a suitable substrate for alcohol inks because I didn't have the Yupo Sheets yet. And yes, because i is costly stuff. Finally I tried it (so far only one sheet - too scared of wasting it). this video isn't really a tutorial but more about my first time experience using Yupo. I was surprised at how different it is. I just created the video below for my Etsy shop blog. It is about what I have been creating lately. Since what I create and trying to sell those creations intermingles so tightly with Heartfully Creating, I am sharing this on both blog sites. It's meant to reach as many people as possible! -------------------- A Few Ramblings About Creating...
It has been a busy few months artistically speaking. It seems that once I find a technique or process I like, I want to make some in every colour. It is much different than when I was working only in two dimensions. A canvas in front of me and a palette of brightly pigmented paints, crying out to be smooshed, combined, and swiped into what would become a beautiful work of art. Well, hopefully it would.
My paintings were usually at least 16" x 20" inches or more and could take days and days to weeks and weeks. It all depended on what it was, how I wanted it to look and if it was turning out how I wanted. Some artists like to meticulously plan out their masterpiece, methodically, critically and succinctly. Not me, I try to but it just doesn't happen. A speck of an idea may spontaneously plunk into my mind, fuelling what would become my next artistic creation. But planning and agonizing over how it will be played out just doesn't feel natural. In three dimensional land, sculpting in polymer clay, making jewellery, needle felting, and such can be done in the same manner.

However, I am trying to bank ideas into what Christi Friesen once recommended for me to do, write down my ideas into a notebook, keeping them in an idea "savings" account. great lady! You might want to try it. In fact, I even made a handmade note book using index cards, a hole punch and some heavy wire. As for the discipline of banking my ideas, still too impulsive and I forget to look at my bank. That's my fault. Not giving up. It really could work if I followed it through. It doesn't help that I stink at actual banking, spending what I don't have - impulsively!

A while back I was creating little Tweetees. If you follow H/C then you know I seem to get addicted to making the beads which means, it takes a while before I get the pieces turned into wearable art to sell in my shop. (I need to try to cover the cost of my art making supplies some way!)
Tweetees, The name reflects the cuteness of these little bird dangle drops. Pretty sure Tweet and Tweety might be copyright hence the spelling deviation. My beads are created to design earrings, bracelets, necklaces and such. Today after much work on a variety of bead styles slowed down, I finally got to post my first Tweetee earrings in my Etsy shop A Bergie Creation.
Naming my jewellery pieces is part of the joy of creating. Remember all of those previous polymer clay tube beads I was creating? Here is one link to see. I was getting hooked on making them. All those textures and powders, what fun. Well, finally I have made a couple more necklaces that are in my Etsy Shop, A Bergie Creation. The blue one is called "Induction," and the Pink one "Cerendipity."Cool huh! The Sari ribbon and handmade wire beads enhance these really great clay beads.
When you are creating jewellery pieces, experiment with what materials work together!

Howdy fellow artists! As many of you may already know, Visual artists love colour. It makes sense that God, our Creator, Thee most Perfect Artist ever, created not just our eyes to see - but the bazillion of colors all around us. It is why some of us have an art supplies. Count me in as one of those people.
Since I began working in polymer clay, aside from chalk pastels, paints and polymer clay... I love them all and have gotten into the collecting of mica powders. They may be best known by a couple of brand names Pearl Ex and Perfect Pearls. Mica is actually a natural mineral that somehow has been processed in a manner that has been turned into a fine powdered pigment with great shimmer and special effects. It can be used on raw polymer clay or mixed into glazes, clays, liquid clay, gel mediums for acrylics and the like - even water and a spray bottle. Not Just Eyeshadow!
It is probably most familiar as eyeshadow. So if you can't afford the jars, do what I first did and buy a thirty or more plus eye shadow palette on Ebay for under ten dollars! You can use the myriad of colours to add dimension to your polymer clay pieces! Swatch Out!
