Today, I was organizing old photos and videos including 8 years of photos and videos of a much younger Luke! So I wanted to share this early video. He is adorable and still an inspiring artist. I plan on making a video with the collection I have soon!

Hi guys! If you have checked out HeArtfully Creating at all, you may remember our young buddy "Jonathan Artman!" Because of his age, I can't share his full name, so I am using his pseudonym for now) Becoming friends with his mom, I was excited to have her older children to come on over and draw. So,"Jonny" has been creating with me for about eight years now. When he first would come over, he and his siblings would come and make art using two dimensional materials. They were all very creative.
My plan is to create a more detailed video feature with more detailed photos and video of his polymer clay critters/creatures, in the near future.
But for now, take a peek at Luke's (a.k.a. Jonathan Artman's) first stop motion animation film. He has been working hard for a long time on all his background scenes, planning the story line, designing and creating the characters on paper and in polymer clay and then filming and editing...EVERY PART you are about to see was designed and created by him.

Here he is hard at work while I get to film a tutorial about how to make a character he liked from a popular video game. (I am not familiar with video games anymore, but I do know a lot of children are inspired to create images from their favourite video game or cartoon or movie characters)

I love watching DIYs especially art making, crafty and review type ones. As a middle aged female, I too enjoy sharing what I love to do in video format as well. However, I admit, to record, edit and produce tutorials or videos of any sort, takes time. It isn't as easy as many think. That is why I was super impressed with a channel I discovered last night during my usual YT surfing. I was trying to understand what "decoden" was. Lo and behold, I began watching this video...listen to her great enthusiasm and very clear directions....
There are a lot of youthful craft making enthusiasts who love making YT tutorials. Crafts Are Cool has such a bright, cheery and enjoyable attitude and personality, I found myself watching more than just a couple of her videos. No, I didn't need to learn how to make what she was making, I just really enjoyed the heart in her videos. I may be old enough to be her Grandmother, but I really was impressed and wanted to share her channel with anyone of any age. Refreshing and fun! Thanks Crafts Are Cool! Keep up the great work! Okay, we've covered knitting with a spool and your arms, and now it's time to learn about how we can knit with our fingers. Years ago I thought I knew what finger knitting was all about because I thought a friend and I were doing it. Turns out, as I researched the whole needle-less knitting thing, we weren't finger knitting. It explains why our "finger knitting" never turned into anything more than a yarn chain. See this little hand to the right, from "Little Bird SOS?"? (No, I don't know whose hand it is, just click on the link in the caption to go see more.) As you can see, it turns out that finger knitting actually is knitting by using your fingers to hold the stitches and then looping the yarn with the fingers of your other hand. If you saw the article on "Spool Knitting," it appears to works out kind of like spool knitting except on an open spool, one that lays flat instead of a continuous loop. Again, I haven't had a chance to illustrate these knitting ideas (It can take anywhere from three to forty hours for me to complete an illustration) so I am sharing the links and photos of people who have done a great job teaching us about finger knitting already! All this talk about knitting without knitting needles, has given me the idea to share some sites and pictures on knitting with needles, something my Mom taught me to do when I was about seven. In my opinion, once you know how to knit the traditional way, then these "Needle-Less" methods seem far more cool!
