Decorate your outdoor space by drawing/painting images on planter containers or pots. I call this practical art making. It makes me smile to see brightly coloured images outside, A Work in progress. Painting plastic planters using Aroic and Sharplie Oil paint pens.

So I got out my assorted brands of Acrylic paint pens, Toole-Art, Ohuhu, Artistro, and Aroic. So not only do you see how these pens work on yet another surface, you can see how easy it is to create a one of a kind cell phone case. It has an original work of art on it. You could decorate it however you want to. It would make a great gift. You can draw words or a name, whatever you desire.

Has the whole world wide, life altering pandemic have you locked down or at least feeling down? It is hard to believe that an unseen virus can control so much. Awesome thing is, in spite of what we have all been experiencing, Corona is not in control, God is! And that means we can choose to give in to the temptation to let it all weigh down our hearts (I get tempted to do that) or we can embrace what we have, wherever we ave it. What's that old saying. "Bloom where you're planted."
After seeing so much disrepair, unkempt lawns and weedy gardens (not just ours), it seemed like a fun idea to start brightening things up around our home's exterior. This is just one project that I will be sharing with you, I have already posted the projects on Instagram @a_bergie_creation and at my Heartfully Creating group page if you want a sneak peek. Think about how much colour and happy characters or images can make you smile. In fact after all of these projects I want to make something else cheery to hang where I can see it through our window during the bleak winter days that we tend to have. (sorry, I know white is pretty but not fun for me to wander out in.)
As you will see I have been enjoying colourful acrylic paint pens (sorry, still not done all the paint pen reviews). And after my husband Craig sanded up some pieces of old wood, originally to be used in my paint pen reviews, I spontaneously started a Welcome sign for the front of our home. So, here is part one of the process creating this very fun and colourful sign, My hope is to not only show you how well affordable (Not
Posca) paint pens work on wood surfaces.

Materials required:
A pencil
Paint Pens (I used Aroic, Toole-Art, Artistro and Ohuhu pens -mostly .07mm and a few 3mm)
Gesso or white paint or acrylic paint pens
Polyurethane or some such finish to protect from outdoor elements
I did coat the slightly sanded reclaimed wood with white acrylic paint or gesso. And then lightly penciled in some letters that I turned into characters. But I did not pre-plan it all. This took a long time because I really enjoyed tweaking the characters and layering and changing colours.
If it is going outside, apparently oil paint pens are more durable but, I didn't have any until today so I coated the surface with Polycrylic -polyurethane.

Hi guys! How are you all doing during this most abnormal season? I am guessing for many of you, making more art or trying various art making techniques for the first time is something you have been
doing lately. Considering the world has been under siege by an unknown virus, unable to carry out life as usual- makes sense that we'd all be trying new things whilst locked down. Well acrylic paint pens have been a new tool in my art making supply stash. Are you like me, hooked on art supply collecting? It is even worse since shopping online with Amazon, is way to easy.
Might as well make the most of it and create. How will we know if we like a certain art supply if we don't try it. If you've been around here you will know that Acrylic paint pens are my new supply to try and use. Wanting to see online reviews of affordable paint pens has been difficult, so I decided to try an array of pens so I can create a bunch of video reviews on each brand so others may benefit from them. Posca pens seem to be the only paint pens used over and over on YouTube, Well click here to see my only (so far) Posca experience.
Below is part one of my first part of a generalized review video covering five brands of Acrylic paint pens. In this video I tried the four out on a rock since these pens all say they work on all surfaces like rock, glass, plastic, fabric, basically anything non-porous. I use them on paper and card stock more than anything. I love them.

Hi fellow creatives And Artists! Yes, I am working on my up coming Acrylic Paint Pen Reviews. Since my first paint pen review, I have acquired from Amazon, about 8 brands in total. All are affordable except the POSCA pens that are all over YouTube. It made me feel a tad queasy spending $113 Canadian for 24 of their fine tipped pens. But I thought since finding reviews on all the other brads I have are fairly scarce, but plenty on POSCA, I thought I'd better have a higher end pen to compare with. Apparently Posca pens are even used by wall mural painters! All I know is so far the set I received had a negative first, then second impression. Find out soon what on earth I mean!

Today, I wanted to share bits and bobs of a few clips I took while decorating the wooden fram of a mini chalk board. You can decorate a lot of things with paint pens, so come and be inspired to try. If you don't want or have pain pens, you can totally use a paint brush, a dotting tool and paint, acrylic or oil. Remember Acrylic always dries very fast!!
Remember to have fun. Be spontaneous with your design or plan it all out, it's up to you!
Hi guys! Happy, almost Spring time! Recently, I just purchased a few brands of acrylic paint markers from Amazon Canada. For decades I painted using acrylic paint from the tube. Stevenson was my choice brand. If you are new here, I am a visual artist who loves sharing all things creative and encouraging folks of all ages to create. In the past few years I have been focused mostly on creating with polymer clay, in 3-D. Due to my weak hands, the clay has been a challenge. That means I have to branch out or should I say, return to my original art making method, drawing and painting. Years ago I tried the Sharpie brand of oil paint pens. When they worked, they were great. But, they clogged or dried up too easily. That is the extra fine tips. So I gave up. Working on an easel on canvas with a palette and paint from tubes and jars is not a method I can return to. So to at least come close, I thought I would try the acrylic paint pens.
Which Ones To Use?
Well, there are so many brands on Amazon, I can't say. So I thought I would share what I discover here incase anyone else is interested in my discoveries.
