Hi guys. Hope everyone is staying safe and well. A while ago, I started layering paint (acrylic), Cellophane glitter flakes and polyurethane...along with glitters and layering alcohol inks. Below is a Works In Progress Video Sharing Three Incomplete Pieces. Then Soon I Will be posting more on how to work in mixed mixed media as well as showing you some more stages in my favourite piece so far. Hi guys! Hope you're all having a good day so far. If you follow me on Instagram you may remember that I shared a teaser photo a couple weeks back, of something I was working on for someone special. Said I would be posting more soon, so much for that. But finally here is what I was working on. This is a little bit tutorial but more of a come and learn with me video. It involves epoxy resin and of course they always wonderful polymer clay. Hope you're inspired to try out some of these techniques.
I love watching DIYs especially art making, crafty and review type ones. As a middle aged female, I too enjoy sharing what I love to do in video format as well. However, I admit, to record, edit and produce tutorials or videos of any sort, takes time. It isn't as easy as many think. That is why I was super impressed with a channel I discovered last night during my usual YT surfing. I was trying to understand what "decoden" was. Lo and behold, I began watching this video...listen to her great enthusiasm and very clear directions....
There are a lot of youthful craft making enthusiasts who love making YT tutorials. Crafts Are Cool has such a bright, cheery and enjoyable attitude and personality, I found myself watching more than just a couple of her videos. No, I didn't need to learn how to make what she was making, I just really enjoyed the heart in her videos. I may be old enough to be her Grandmother, but I really was impressed and wanted to share her channel with anyone of any age. Refreshing and fun! Thanks Crafts Are Cool! Keep up the great work! Never in a million years would I have ever thought of using your arms as knitting needles. Would you? Think about it, knitting needles may come in various thicknesses, but they are long, straight and usually made from steel, plastic or wood. As a kid I do remember trying to knit with pencils and that was challenging enough.
When my friend told me about how she and her ten year old son were making christmas gifts by arm knitting scarves, my jaw did kind of dropped..."How do you do that?" She explained it but I couldn't picture it until I Googled it and saw it for myself. It is something that I could never do because of my physical challenges, but if you can use your two arms together, then you can do it too!
Because I wanted to share these fun ways to knit without needles, I haven't had time to do my own illustrations so I borrowed some photos from others on the internet.
